Ремонт судна, выполняемый в минимальном объеме для поддержания его технико-эксплуатационных характеристик в заданных пределах на установленный интервал времени в конце или непосредственно после окончания нормативного срока службы.
Поддерживающий ремонт, при необходимости, выполняется в конце нормативного срока службы в случае изменения условий эксплуатации, предусмотренных проектом судна.
